The organic price listed in this survey represents the
simple average of two prices, the price of the single most
common brand in non-returnable plastic containers in one
outlet of each of the two largest food store chains (and
the largest convenience store chain) in each of the twenty
nine cities. Not all brands of organic milk in each
surveyed store are included and higher or lower prices of
milk offered by other than the most common brand in each of
the two stores are not included. Prices are collected by
Federal Milk Market Administrators during the first non-
Friday or weekend ten days of each month. Complete data may

March through October have been higher than the same month of
2016.
In Bavaria, an important milk producing region of Germany,
average October prices are 49.98 euros/liter, (currently $59.44
USD), 2.97 percent higher than a year earlier and 2.15 percent
higher than September.
Average organic milk farm prices in France for October

In the Netherlands, a large processor of organic milk
announced a 2.75 euro decrease in the pay price for organic milk
in January 2018 from December. The January price, 49.00
euros/100kg, (currently $58.28 USD), is for organic milk with a

an average of 600,000 kilograms of organic milk annually.
German Organic Milk Production and Dairy Product
Prices Increase. In Germany, Agrarmarkt Informations-
Gesellschaft (AMI) reports that organic milk production during
2017 has increased more than in recent years. Organic milk
production increased 2.9 percent January-September 2017 over the
same period of 2016. It is further reported that the German
organic milk pay price premium over conventional milk pay prices
has narrowed through 2017. This is attributed more to increases
in conventional milk pay prices, than decreases in organic milk
pay prices.

corn is trading 21 cents lower. Forward contracting is
active. Organic feed grade soybean demand and activity is
very light trading 13 cents lower f.o.b.
Organic soybean meal and oil demand and trading activity is
too limited to trend, but steady undertones are noted.
Organic feed wheat demand and activity is light.
Trading is inactive for organic food and feed grade oats,
barley, rye, sorghum, triticale, and millet. Growers are
expecting yields to be slightly lower than last year, but
better than earlier estimates. All other organic grain
trading is inactive.
