DRY WHEY - NORTHEAST                                                 
Dry whey prices inched up on the bottom of the range, but shifted down on 
the top. Spot trades are steady to stagnate as many industry individuals 
have sufficient supplies and are willing to wait and see where the price 
goes. On the other hand, a large number of participants are purchasing 
regular loads each week off contracts. Production is steady and 
inventories are stable to building. The current tone is weak as the 
demand is steady to lackluster, but supplies are fairly available. 
The November 2017 Dairy Market News monthly average for Northeast dry whey 
was $0.3417 compared to $0.3828 one year ago. DAIRY PRODUCTS: According to 
NASS, October 2017 U.S. human food dry whey production totaled 79.1 
million pounds, 3.1 percent below a year ago and 11.7 less than the 
previous month. In the Atlantic region the production of human food dry 
whey for October 2017 totaled 20.3 million pounds, 2.5 percent less than 
a year ago and down 1.9 percent from last month.
