Minneapolis Weekly Grain Summary

Prices for the week ending Thursday, June 14, 2018

**The prices for spring wheat on the spot rail market are now quoted Delivered Chicago 
for Beyond.** 

The milling wheat cash prices were lower this week.  Supply and demand were light.

**Spring Wheat: Prices are for US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat with less than 2.0 ppm 
Vomitoxin. The 12 pct was 15 cents lower at 6.5750N, the basis was 5 cents higher at 80N 
over the July futures delivered Chicago beyond. The low 13 pct had no quote. The 13.5 pct 
had no quote. The 14 pct protein were 10 to 20 cents lower feom 7.1750N-7.2750, the basis 
steady to 10 cents higher from 140N to 150 cents over the July futures delivered Chicago 
for Beyond. The 14.5's was 5 to 10 cents lower at 7.2750N, the basis was 10 to 15 cents 
higher at 150N cents over the July futures delivered Chicago for Beyond. The 15's were 15 
to 20 cents lower at 7.3750, the basis steady to 5 cents higher at 160 cents over the 
July futures delivered Chicago for Beyond. The 20 day to-arrive truck delivery for 12 pct 
protein HRW bid into Minneapolis was 22.25 cents lower at 5.7725, the basis steady at 55 
cents over the July Hard Red Winter Wheat futures.

  Barley: Robust Malting Barley 60 pct or better plump max. 2.0 ppm vomitoxin had no 
quote. The to-arrive bid for 1.0 ppm vomitoxin rail delivered to Minneapolis had had no 
quote. Feed Barley delivered into Duluth closed the week with no bid. Feed Barley 
delivered into Minneapolis was steady with a bid of 2.85.

  Corn: US 2 Yellow Corn was 6.25 cents lower at 3.18 with the basis 7 cents higher at 45 
cents under the July futures. The to-arrive bids for corn are: July at 3.21, August at 
3.3275, October at 3.2950, and first/half November at 3.3750.

  Oats: US 2 or better Oats had no quote on the spot market. The To-arrive bids for oats 
were 9 cents lower from 2.55-3.00, the basis steady from 25 to 70 cents over the July 
futures.
  
  Soybeans: US 1 Yellow Soybeans were 41 cents lower at 8.7025 with the basis 4 cents 
higher 57 cents under the July futures. The to-arrive bids for soybeans are: July at 
8.7125, August at 8.8725, October at 8.85, and first/half November 8.99.
