CHEDDAR CHEESE:

Oceania cheddar prices are weaker. At GDT Event 201 on December
5, the cheddar all contracts price, $3,696, decreased 3.9 percent.
The January contract, $3,720, decreased 12.1 percent.
Seasonal cheese production in Australia July-September, 76,519
MT, is 6.6 percent higher than the same period last year, according
to Dairy Australia.
Cheese is typically the Australian manufactured dairy product
with the greatest milk equivalent use, nearly one third of milk
production during the 2015/16 season, according to Dairy Australia.
Oceania cheddar pricing faces tough competition from cheese
prices in the EU and United States. It is believed that headwinds in
export markets substantially factor into the current weakness.
Additionally, buyers have noted the most recently reported seasonal
milk production in Australia and New Zealand being ahead of the last
season. Those two factors leave buyers a bit more assertive in
finalizing deals.

39% MAXIMUM MOISTURE: 3,675 - 3,850
